You saw the Newtown picture, now read the story behind it

One of those pictures* that we’ll probably forever associate with the Newtown, Conn. tragedy. It was shot from the photographer’s car window:

Here’s the story behind it. The photographer works at the local weekly paper. She’s also a volunteer firefighter. On her community’s worst day, she wore two hats.

*Did you see the video of the police sprinting toward the building? How about the clip of the monsignor in tears? Those are the videos that stick in my head.
